The reflections in this book are intended to act as a wake-up call to a self-complacent Church to get into the path of renewal and the lasting conversion to carry out the mission of Evangelisation. The contents of this book openly challenge everyone to hear Christ’s call to accept the task of evangelisation as a personal mission and heartfelt desire. To do so, it is necessary to develop some awareness of what mission and evangelisation mean today. God, in the person of Jesus, is the heart of the Gospel, and, therefore, the heart of the mission of the Church and, indeed, that of every Christian. It explores various evangelisation models and guidelines that can help the Church discern and put into practice her missionary responsibilities today. Presenting the Twelve Steps of Missionary Spirituality today, the author believes that the path to evangelisation is not about maintaining ecclesial structures in defensive mode, but instead taking a courageous step into the future.
